Snapchat user base is expanding

Even more adults are now using Snapchat.

Snapchat has been popular among the Millennial generation for quite some time now, but it seems that the app is now becoming even more popular among adults too.

Statistics from the app show that in the US, about 38 per cent of mobile users between the ages of 25 and 34 used it during the month of May, which is an increase from 19 per cent in December 2014.

The percentage of those over the age of 35 using it has increased too, from nine per cent to 14 per cent over the same time period.

It remains hugely popular among the 18 to 24 age group too, with about 68 per cent of these people now using the app, compared to 44 per cent just 16 months ago.

With changes being slowly filtered in, it's expected that the popularity of Snapchat will continue to grow.
