IAB UK response to DCMS Data Reform consultation

Posted on Tuesday 23 November 2021 | IAB UK

We have responded to the DCMS consultation on reforms to the UK’s data protection regime

On 10 September, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport launched a consultation on reforms to the UK’s data protection regime. This consultation presents proposals that build on the key elements of the current UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), such as its data processing principles, its data rights for citizens, and its mechanisms for supervision and enforcement. This consultation is the first step in the process of reforming the UK’s regime for the protection of personal data.
