2010 Full Year Digital Adspend Results


These are the IAB’s online advertising spend figures showing details of the full year 2010. The return to double-digit growth for online across 2010 mirrors the general recovery of the advertising market as a whole. Online advertising hit over the £4 billion mark for the first time.

This tracking study, dating back to 1997, represents the official industry figures and acts as the barometer for the health of the market.

  • UK internet advertising expenditure grows 12.8% to £4.097.1 billion in 2010

  • Online’s share of market was 25% for the full year January to December 2010

  • Search, Classifieds and Display online advertising all showed healthy like for like growth across 2010
